We provide financial and motivational support for marginalized students to finish K-12 grade education. Our target are students living in Jakarta slums and low-income areas who are aged 14-18 (grade 9-12) and do not receive the Government’s education subsidy program or Kartu Jakarta Pintar.

To ensure that our program attracts high performing and quality students as well as motivate them in their studies, our scholarship program is merit-based according to the student’s academic performance shown below:

Bulir Padi sponsors receive his/her student’s academic performance report at the end of each semester. Each student's tuition is paid directly by the Foundation following the subsidy scheme above to the student’s corresponding school.

We support academic performance and achievement for our marginalized students. This program provides extra tutoring and guidance for students to achieve academic excellence. Furthermore, guidance and extra tutoring is also provided for those who are interested to pursue government-funded tertiary education. Our target beneficiaries for this program are academically performing students aged 15-18 years (grades 10-12).

By helping our students obtain a university degree, it will help them obtain a better paying quality job that will help them get out of the circle of poverty.

We realize the importance of job-readiness as a key factor in placing our students on the path of success. This program helps increase the soft and hard skills capabilities required for a student’s job-readiness. Soft Skills training include confidence building, leadership, resume building and job search, as well as communication skills. Depending on industry needs/requirements, hard skills training include certified training, among others, in IT/computer, auto-repair, sewing, etc.

By providing the right skilled education and increasing one’s job-readiness skills, our high school graduates have the opportunity to obtain a better paying quality job that will help them get out of the circle of poverty.

We also help increase employment opportunities for disadvantaged youth by linking our qualified and certified graduates/job-seekers with local employers. Our target for the program are marginalized students in Jakarta slums area, aged +18 years.
